I was fifty when I left Hong Kong and moved to Taiwan. I’d been a professional photographer for many years. I decided to do something for myself while I still have the strength.
I bought an old van and spent about half a year fixing it up. I drive it around Taiwan, meeting people and enjoying the scenery along the way. After bidding farewell to the familiar sights and sounds of the city that had raised me for fifty years, I saw this as a new beginning. I’m still a Hong Konger; I see myself as an ambassador for my home city in Taiwan! I’ve done interviews with the media; in Taiwan, I’ve been dubbed 香港大叔 (Hong Kong uncle).
