The US Central Intelligence Agency has never had much to say about Laos. The only declassified article devoted solely to Laos is a study of air operations between 1955 and 1974, written as much as anything to absolve the agency of charges that it was involved in drug smuggling. A much longer account of CIA support for “surrogate warfare” in Laos is still only partially declassified.
